While Chipane’s professional career has been primarily focused on human resources, with decades of experience in JSE-listed and multinational companies, his passion for art has always been an integral part of his life. He is largely self-taught but has also benefited from the mentorship of Pretoria master artist Mimi van der Merwe. Chipane’s artistic style is characterized by contemporary abstraction, influenced by his interactions and conversations with other notable artists such as sculptor David Poshokwe, Ike Nkwana, and Lefifi Tladi, who is also a musician currently based in Sweden. His art reflects his experiences and exposure to diverse cultures, having traveled extensively to places like Botswana, New York, Edinburgh, Amsterdam, Italy, Rome, and London. These experiences have enriched his artistic expression, infusing his works with elements of modernity and cultural diversity.
